Where do they get this from? Really?

"Sectarianism was a theme sounded Wednesday by the leader of Hezbollah, the powerful Lebanese Shiite militant organization that has aligned itself with Mr. Assad. “We do not want to attack anybody,” the leader, Hassan Nasrallah, said in a televised speech. “But at the same time, let no one miscalculate with us.”"  This is such a mischaracterization of the words of Nasrallah: the entire speech was warning against sectarian discord and conflict.  How did the New York Times office in Beirut (headed by a woman who does not know a word of Arabic) decide that "sectarianism was a theme" in the speech?
